One Jefferson occupies a prominent edge at Fisherman’s Wharf, where the building mediates between the heavier historic waterfront fabric and the more contemporary pedestrian character of the Embarcadero. Stanton Architecture composed the building to blend seamlessly with its neighboring structures through aligned cornice lines, calibrated massing, and a restrained façade rhythm that reinforces the continuity of the streetscape. The project draws materiality from the industrial maritime palette of the waterfront, combining masonry, metal detailing, and expansive glazing to balance durability with transparency and lightness.

Stanton’s core and shell exists today as an early and lasting example of contextual urban infill along San Francisco’s northern waterfront.
