MONTEREY TIDES HOTEL

Monterey, CA

Uniquely located along the Pacific Coast waterfront is the Monterey Tides Resort, originally constructed in 1968.  Stanton Architecture renovated this hotel and converted it to a Marriott Tribute.  Upgrades include guestroom finishes, casegoods and softgoods, lighting and refinishing all of the millwork.  In addition to the guestroom scope, the public spaces underwent a reconfiguration to accommodate the new Tribute branding, and SA remodeled the hotel’s existing porte cochere to improve the guest arrival experience. Substantial life safety improvements where another aspect of the renovation, including the addition of exterior exit stairs.
