MARLOWE
San Francisco, CA
Stanton Architecture reimagined a beloved SoMa restaurant for the Big Night Restaurant Group, allowing the rough urban edge to give way to a softly-layered interior.
The clean, airy space features a sleek, redesigned bar that supports the dynamic craft cocktail program, a sunlit patio ideal for al fresco dining, and a convenient takeout window for guests on the go. The layout is organized around a long bar and open dining room, with an efficient and steady flow between bar seats, communal tables, and closely packed two-tops. Materials lean into the “butcher shop moderne” language of distressed woods, white tile, steel accents, and chalkboard-like surfaces.
