HOTEL EMBLEM

San Francisco, CA

Stanton Architecture guided the revitalization of the iconic Hotel Emblem in San Francisco's vibrant Union Square neighborhood. This meticulous historic renovation breathes new life into the 1907 landmark while preserving its architectural legacy as a literary hideout.

The hotel's transformation features a reimagined cocktail bar that pays homage to the Beat Generation, offering a stylish and referential social venue. All 96 guestrooms are remodeled with modern finishes and mid-century furnishings that provide polish to this sophisticated urban retreat.

Hotel public spaces are thoughtfully renewed, including a private rear lounge, an inviting sitting room complete with poetry-inspired art panels, and a cozy reading nook. A new entry sequence, illuminated canopy, and ground floor facade enhance the hotel's curb appeal while respecting its historic context.
