DIRTY HABIT DC

Washington, D.C.

Stanton Architecture completed the remodel and expansion at the Monaco Hotel courtyard in Washington, D.C. in 2016. This iconic project is housed within the historic Old General Post Office Building, also known as the Tariff Building, a National Historic Landmark that dates to the 1820s.

The renovation introduces a modern 1,400-square-foot glass pavilion that seamlessly integrates contemporary design within its historic context. The pavilion features dynamic glass technology that automatically adjusts its tint to optimize natural light and reduce energy consumption.

The expanded restaurant space offers seating for 200 guests, including four sophisticated bars, and ambient outdoor seating vignettes.
