ALISIOS MEXICAN COCINA
Menlo Park, CA
Situated at the Springline development in Menlo Park, Alisios is a modern Mexican restaurant designed to evoke the cross-cultural trade winds that shaped global cuisine. The space transitions a contemporary base-building into a warm and textured culinary destination that engages the street with its lively glow.
The space features stepped dining zones anchored by a lively bar under jewel-like pendants and rich timber beams, framed by custom arched shelving and a bold, narrative-driven mural of agave harvesters. In the main dining room, soft microcement walls, warm tones, and geometric details create interest and intimacy. A sweeping sage-green alcove showcases imperfect Moorish tiling, while illuminated wall niches display artisanal pottery alongside wrought-iron sconces and antiqued mirrors.
Large bi-folding glass doors spill the dining room onto an iron-latticed patio that draws the street energy of Oak Grove Avenue into the restaurant in a balanced exchange between indoor and out.
