Stanton Architecture was contracted to design a restaurant and lounge in a vacant space in the Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Mall. The existing space included a large kitchen which was updated with all new kitchen equipment to accommodate the client’s new menu. An existing leaky tensile fabric structure was removed and replaced with a Stanton Architecture designed patio enclosure system featuring fold-up doors, back-lit fabric drapes, and integrated radiant heaters. The patio centerpiece was a custom gas firepit. Stanton Architecture’s interior design work featured back-bar shelving with back-lit LivinGlass™ panels, concrete counter-tops, modern lighting fixtures, wine display, custom mirrors, bathroom fixtures and finishes, textured concrete flooring, and a coffered wood and acoustic tile ceiling. Large custom sliding doors were designed to separate the interior space from the patio area. The bar runs continuously through the back wall of the interior space out into the patio with the sliding doors closing over and under it.
